2. What data do I process?
I only process data you provide yourself or that is technically required to display the website:
- Booking form: name, email, phone, company, chosen date/time, service type, and a short note.
- Contact form: name, email, subject, and message.
- Website check: the URL you enter, scan results (scores and technical details), an anonymous report ID and access token, and upon payment the Revolut order ID. Optional: email if you provide it at checkout.
- Direct contact: data you share when emailing, calling, or contacting via WhatsApp.
- Technical data: your IP address and browser type are temporarily processed by the hosting environment (Cloudflare) for security and delivery.
I use no tracking cookies and no advertising or analytics networks that follow you across websites. Fonts are self-hosted; no fonts are loaded from third parties.
3. Why and on what legal basis?
- To answer your question and schedule a call — based on your consent (privacy checkbox) and my legitimate interest in responding.
- To perform a contract — based on contract performance.
- To keep the website secure and working — based on legitimate interest.
- Website check (free scan) — based on your consent (checkbox before the scan). The scan runs on my server using open-source Lighthouse; no Google API is used.
- Website check (paid report) — based on contract performance (€19 purchase).
4. Third-party services
I use external services that may process data on my behalf or alongside me:
- FormSubmit (United States) — processes contact form submissions and forwards them to my email.
- Own booking system — booking requests are stored in a PostgreSQL database on my server (EU region where possible).
- Amazon Web Services (SES) — sends confirmation and notification emails for bookings.
- Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, and security; processes technical data such as your IP address.
- OpenStreetMap — only if you click “Load map” on the contact page; OpenStreetMap may then process technical data.
- WhatsApp / Meta — only when you contact me via the WhatsApp button yourself.
- Own website check — scans run on my server (PostgreSQL + Lighthouse). No external performance API is used.
- Revolut — processes payments for the detailed website check report; receives order data and optionally your email at checkout.
5. Transfers outside the EEA
FormSubmit is based in the United States. Revolut may process data outside the EEA. Appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) apply to those transfers. AWS services may also involve processing outside the EEA depending on the chosen region. Contact me for details on current processor agreements.
6. How long do I keep data?
- Booking data: up to 12 months after the appointment, then anonymised.
- Cancelled bookings: deleted or anonymised within 90 days of cancellation.
- Contact form emails: up to 24 months, unless an ongoing project or legal retention requires longer.
- Project correspondence: as long as needed for delivery and tax/administrative obligations (typically up to 7 years).
- Website check (free, unpaid): up to 30 days, then automatically deleted.
- Website check (paid report): up to 12 months after payment, then automatically deleted. You can also delete your report earlier via the button on the results page or by email.
7. Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your data, and to object to processing. Email [email protected]. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
8. Security
The website is served exclusively over HTTPS. I take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss or misuse.
9. Changes
This privacy policy may be updated when services or legislation change. The latest version is always on this page.
